 Anthony CARBINES (Ivanhoe – Leader of the House, Minister for Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy, Minister for Major Events, Minister for Medical Research, Minister for Racing, Minister for Economic Development) (17:37): With regard to the member for Preston, I know of his deep interest in these matters from my discussions with him. In response to his adjournment, I will report back to the member for Preston at a later time and look forward to doing that.

I note that the Leader of the Nationals raised a matter for the Minister for Housing, Building and Precincts, and the action that he sought was with regard to renewal and maintenance matters that need to be attended to in his Gippsland South electorate with regard to public housing and the like. The member for Cranbourne raised a matter for the Minister for Multicultural Affairs seeking an update on how the Carroll Labor government is supporting our strong and diverse communities. The member for Broadmeadows raised a matter for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety around an independent road safety audit being undertaken in the Glenroy activity centre, including Glenroy Road between Pascoe Vale Road and Plumpton Avenue. The honourable member for Bulleen, who is no longer with us, did raise a matter for the minister for roads in regard to Tram Road and Grand Boulevard in Doncaster, and I will be sure that is passed on. The member for Eildon is very much with us, and she raised a matter for the Minister for Emergency Services about replacing the UHF repeater station at Mount Concord, and I will ensure that is also passed on.

The member for Werribee raised a matter for the Minister for Police, and the action that was sought there was for the minister to join him at the Werribee police station to meet the amazing team that work at Werribee. I certainly know firsthand the significant work they do there. Of the many police stations I have visited, I have certainly seen some very tough people being held to account at Werribee police station. They do an amazing job there. It is one of those significant places that we have invested in, and it does a huge power of work for the western suburbs out at Werribee. The member for Berwick raised a matter for the Minister for Environment to join him in Sunbury, particularly around Diggers Rest, on matters of illegal dumping. The member for Narracan raised a matter for the Minister for Planning seeking action to stop the destruction of prime agricultural land for battery storage as a planning matter. The member for Narre Warren South raised a matter for the Minister for Education, the Deputy Premier, with regard to an update on Lyndhurst Secondary College and the significant investments and works happening there. I commend all those matters.
