 Danny O’BRIEN (Gippsland South) (14:09): My question is to the Premier. The Premier said his first action would be to call a royal commission. Since then the Premier has put out 14 media releases, and a royal commission is yet to be called. Why did the Premier break his very first promise?

 Ben CARROLL (Niddrie – Premier) (14:10): I have said this on numerous occasions: this is a serious endeavour. It is not for political leaders to be politicising an independent royal commission.

 Danny O’BRIEN (Gippsland South) (14:10): The Premier also said he would immediately establish a special prosecutor. Given it has been almost three weeks, why has the Premier already broken that promise?
