 Matthew GUY (Bulleen) (14:17): My question is to the Premier. At least $15 billion of taxpayers money has inappropriately been siphoned off the Big Build –

Matthew GUY: At least $15 billion of taxpayers money was inappropriately siphoned off the Big Build into the hands of groups such as bikie gangs while the Premier was a member of state cabinet. Will the Premier’s royal commission be empowered to investigate whether this Labor government delivered an expanding pipeline of unionised Big Build work in exchange for any factional support or internal deals?

 Ben CARROLL (Niddrie – Premier) (14:18): I thought Dorothy Dixers were banned. From Mr Integrity himself, the only member of Parliament in this chamber to refer himself to IBAC – a world record in the Guinnessbook of records: ‘I’ll refer myself to IBAC.’ We will get on and do what we need to do with the royal commission.

Matthew GUY: It is to the well-groomed Premier. Will the Premier guarantee that no Labor factional official, union official or former Premier or minister will be protected from any royal commission scrutiny?
