Steve DIMOPOULOS (Oakleigh – Minister for WorkSafe and the TAC, Minister for Sport, Minister for Equality) (09:51): On another matter, I would like to pass on my sincere condolences to the people of Colombia for the tragedy over the last few days of the earthquake in that beautiful country. Melbourne and Victoria have I think the equal largest Colombian community in the country. I know the Colombians in Australia are feeling this very deeply, both those who have been directly impacted but also because, as a proud, proud country and nation, they would be feeling it even if they were not directly impacted. My heart goes out to the Colombian community, including my beautiful husband but broadly to the Colombian community, who are suffering at this moment, and to the good, normal people who are putting themselves in harm’s way to rescue others.
