Natalie SULEYMAN (St Albans – Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Minister for Small and Family Business, Minister for Veterans) (09:59): I rise today with a heavy heart to pay tribute to Van Viet Truong, the hardworking owner of Hong Hung Asian Grocery in Sunshine. Viet was a deeply respected grandfather and a dedicated local trader whom I had the pleasure of meeting. Tragically, Viet’s life was cut short following a devastating incident where he stepped forward as a good Samaritan to aid a neighbour in need. On behalf of our entire community I extend my heartfelt condolences to Viet’s family and especially my good friends Selina Chenh from the vegetarian cafe, Thanh Nguyen from the Fresh Chilli Deli and Huong from Diamond Valley Fashions and the wider Vietnamese community. May Van Viet Truong rest in peace.
