 John PESUTTO (Hawthorn) (09:47): Cold weather and a bit of drizzle could not dampen the spirits at the Canterbury Cobras Junior Football Club when I visited them on Sunday for their girls and boys fixtures. The Cobras are a strong club with a big heart, growing bigger with every season, thanks to the volunteers who give their time and energy to make it possible. From coaches and team managers to parents and supporters, they are building a community where boys and girls can come together, make friends and play great footy. Can I thank Sophie, Rebecca, Lawrence, Dan, Chris and the entire Cobras team for the very warm welcome they offered. I wish them well for the rest of the season and in next year’s season as well.
