 Anthony CARBINES (Ivanhoe – Leader of the House, Minister for Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy, Minister for Major Events, Minister for Medical Research, Minister for Racing, Minister for Economic Development) (17:36): The member for Berwick raised a matter for the Minister for Planning seeking action on a briefing for the Casey and Cardinia councils with regard to mobile phone reception. The member for Narre Warren South raised a matter for the Minister for Health in the other place, seeking an update on investments in our healthcare system and how these will benefit his constituents. The member for Morwell raised a matter for the Minister for Environment seeking action to explain to his constituents progress on the Maryvale waste-to-energy project. The member for Broadmeadows raised a matter for the Minister for Public Transport seeking that the hardstand area at Gowrie station be line marked. The member for Warrandyte raised a matter for the Minister for Sport, and the action she sought was that the minister meet the premiership-winning teams in her electorate.

The member for Glen Waverley raised a matter for the Minister for Education seeking action on a visit to Glen Waverley Secondary College – or ‘Glenny’, as it is known in his local community. The member for Narracan raised a matter for the Premier seeking action on a visit to his community so he can see firsthand what needs to happen in his electorate. The member for Albert Park raised a matter for the Minister for Creative Industries seeking that she come to the reopening of the refurbished Ian Potter State Theatre in her electorate. The member for Ovens Valley raised a matter for the Minister for Environment seeking action on the North East Catchment Management Authority and that the minister fund and oversee the repair works on the Ovens River with constituents in his electorate. And the member for Preston raised a matter for the Minister for Casino, Gaming and Liquor Regulation in the other place to require rewards clubs to publish payout ratios. I commend all those matters to you, Deputy Speaker, and the respective ministers.
