Anthony CARBINES (Ivanhoe – Leader of the House, Minister for Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy, Minister for Major Events, Minister for Medical Research, Minister for Racing, Minister for Economic Development) (10:14): I was pleased to be at Viewbank Tennis Club recently for the opening of new facilities there thanks to a North East Link community grant of $75,000. The Viewbank Tennis Club upgrade includes kitchen upgrades and an outdoor barbecue area to create a safe, modern and more energy-efficient space. It is a project that boosts community engagement and encourages more families, friends and visitors to connect through sport and social activities. It was a great event that evening at Viewbank Tennis Club, a really well-respected club in my local community. It was a great application that they put forward. The North East Community Fund has seen a lot of upgrades to community facilities locally, and Viewbank Tennis Club certainly benefited. It is a great outdoor area they have got with barbecues, seating and undercover areas, and the upgrades to the kitchen and clubrooms are also really important. We previously upgraded lighting there, fencing and the courts. It is a great set-up at Viewbank, and I wish them well for the season ahead.
