 The SPEAKER (09:34): General business, notices of motion 62 and 77 to 90 and orders of the day 1 and 2, will be removed from the notice paper unless members wishing their matter to remain advise the Clerk in writing before 2 pm today.

The SPEAKER: A further notice?

Will Fowles: No. I did not hear you say ‘Introduction of bills’, because there was so much noise in the chamber, and I am seeking to introduce a bill. I was listening. I did not hear it. There was noise in the chamber. I am not even sure that your microphone was on.

The SPEAKER: I am sorry, member for Ringwood, I cannot go back to introduction of bills. My apologies, but I did actually say it.

Will Fowles: On a point of order, Speaker, when you say you cannot go back, I think there is a discretion available to the Chair on this. There were a lot of people chatting.

The SPEAKER: Member for Ringwood, if you would like to come and speak to me afterwards on the introduction of bills, we will have a conversation about that. My apologies, member for Ringwood. This is not a point of order.

Will Fowles: I am seeking clarification on a ruling from the Chair.

The SPEAKER: This is not a point of order. I have advised you that I will have clarification on the question that you are asking me in my chambers when I have finished in the chair.

The SPEAKER: We have not quite got to motions by leave yet, member for Ringwood. We are in the middle of notices.

Will Fowles: I appreciate that, but I can move by leave at any time to move anything.
