Wayne FARNHAM (Narracan) (17:28): (1845) My adjournment this evening is to the Premier, and the action I seek is that the Premier actually visit my community firsthand to see what needs to happen in my electorate. I am raising this again because I have already raised this once and the Premier has not responded to me. To quote the Premier, he has told everyone he is not Daniel Andrews and he is not the former Premier, the member for Bendigo East. I would like him to prove it, because neither of those premiers visited my electorate. If he is what he says he is, it would be great to see him turn up and come to my community. He should not be scared just because it is a Liberal seat. He should get out there. To quote the government at the last election, they said, ‘We’re here for all Victorians.’ Prove it. It is very simple. Come to the electorate, have a look at the hospital and understand why I keep bringing up the issue of the West Gippsland Hospital in this chamber. Have a look at the condition of our roads, which are in a terrible state of disrepair. Have a look at our schools. We have not had a new school built in over 50 years. Have a look at our sporting facilities, which are bursting at the seams because there has been no significant investment from the government in this space. These are all the issues that matter to my community. In one sense I am calling for the Premier to prove that he is not Daniel Andrews or the former Premier, the member for Bendigo East. Here is his opportunity to stand up and do that. Have a look at the traffic congestion. Have a look at every issue I have brought up in this Parliament in the last four years which the government has not acted on, and if he comes out this government may have a little bit more sympathy for my community.
