Questions without notice and ministers statements
Suburban Rail Loop
Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:02): My question is to the Premier. Why did the Premier conceal an $8 billion tax for five years until he was caught red-handed by the Auditor-General?
Ben CARROLL (Niddrie – Premier) (14:02): I absolutely reject the premise of the question. I am a Premier that fixes things, and I have got rid of this charge.
Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:03): The Premier said integrity is no longer optional. How does secretly sitting on an $8 billion tax for five years meet his own test of integrity?
Ben CARROLL (Niddrie – Premier) (14:03): We began the week by saving $2 billion, and today we saved Victorians another $8 billion.
