Epilepsy Foundation
John PESUTTO (Hawthorn) (10:00): Recently I visited the Epilepsy Foundation in Canterbury, led by CEO Nicole Coulthard and general manager of services and projects Bernadette Zappa. The Epilepsy Foundation provides vital advice, training and education to people living with epilepsy and their families, helping them better understand and manage the condition. One in 25 Australians will experience epilepsy at some point in their lifetime. Epilepsy can happen to anyone at any time and not always in the way we might expect. It is important to know how to recognise a seizure and what to do when someone is experiencing one. I encourage all Victorians to support the important work of the Epilepsy Foundation, whether through a donation, supporting one of its op shops or helping raise awareness through their networks.
