Jade BENHAM (Mildura) (09:43): In Mildura we put food on your plate and champions on racetracks, as I have said dozens of times in this place. On the weekend, the King Construction Mildura Heat division 2 men were crowned Big V champions in an absolute thriller – on an away court, I might add. Nowhere during the game, to be honest, did it look like we were going anywhere near winning, until the last few minutes, winning by one point – the best possible way – and we did it on the home court of the Sherbrooke Suns. As a huge supporter of Mildura basketball and self-appointed president of the Jack Saunders fan club, I want to send a huge congrats to Jack, Taz, AT, Taiga, Dru, Noah, Lachie, Jye, Will, Riley, the coaches, the volunteers, the families and everyone at the Mildura Basketball Association who made it possible.
