Gendered violence

Melissa HORNE (Williamstown – Minister for Ports and Freight, Minister for Jobs, Minister for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing, Minister for Defence Industry) (09:54): This week I joined the launch of Respect Victoria’s coercive control campaign, to be released for the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence from 25 November. We were joined by Mitch Brown, who spoke about what it means for men to show courage, accountability and care – courage to speak up when something is not right and accountability for our own behaviour and that of our mates. Community clubs and elite players alike have a real part to play here in showing the next generation of men what respect looks like.
