 Anthony CARBINES (Ivanhoe – Leader of the House, Minister for Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy, Minister for Major Events, Minister for Medical Research, Minister for Racing, Minister for Economic Development) (09:42): We know that across the north-eastern suburbs our combination of the Austin Hospital, the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, Warringal Private Hospital and of course the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre means we have got a massive medical precinct for the north-east. It employs many people, it cares for many people and it is also boosted by a $275 million investment in the new Austin Hospital emergency department. That construction is underway. It will see an extra 30,000 people treated at the ED every year.
