 Richard RIORDAN (Polwarth) (14:34): (1806) My question this afternoon is to the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, and the question I have is: in the alleged extra funding for roads between now and Christmas, can the people of Polwarth expect to see resurfacing on the Princes Highway between Colac and Winchelsea? This stretch of road is a disgrace. It is so riddled with potholes, broken surfaces, a lack of line marking and just a general lack of maintenance that it has become a real road risk for users. Broken rims, cars with popped tyres – the whole works can be experienced on that road any time of day or night, and with the ongoing wet winter it has been nothing but a disaster for so many local people. But that joins a long list of roads in Polwarth. Hendy Main Road coming out of Torquay back towards the Surf Coast into the shire to Winchelsea is a disgrace at 80 kilometres an hour, as are the Cobden-Stoneyford Road and the Hamilton Highway.
