 Pauline RICHARDS (Cranbourne) (14:31): (1803) My constituency question is to the Minister for Health Ms Stitt in the other place. Why is continued investment in our health system so important for growing communities like Cranbourne, particularly in the face of Liberal–National–One Nation coalition plans for $40 billion in cuts? The word is out: our beautiful three-storey Cranbourne Community Hospital is at risk. This amazing local service is the pride of Cranbourne with ophthalmology, dental, dialysis and so much more, including free parking. There is a lot to be proud of, especially with the urgent care clinic coming soon, but I am very worried. The Liberal Party have said publicly and on the record that this is not a real hospital, but I am here to tell you that there are real clinicians working there: real nurses, real physiotherapists, real doctors, real surgeons and real patient support staff. This is all at risk if the Liberal Party, in coalition with One Nation, have their way. I feel sick to the stomach at the impact of this, and I look forward to the minister’s response.
