 Anthony CIANFLONE (Pascoe Vale) (13:13): On 3 September I was also honoured to welcome the Minister for Children Minister Blandthorn to visit the new and upgraded Antonine Sisters Early Learning Centre in Barrow Street, Coburg. First opened in 1986, this magnificent $3.2 million project has been made possible by a $688,000 Victorian Labor government investment. It is providing modern, new, early childhood, indoor and outdoor learning facilities spaces and amenities for children, families and staff. There are 25 extra places, boosting capacity from 50 places to 75 places. Thank you so much to all who made us welcome: Sister Mariette Kareh, the director of the centre; Sister Rita; Joseph Kairouz, the managing director of Samssons Projects; Chahid Kairouz, architect of CKA Studio; and all the staff, families and children.
