 Bronwyn HALFPENNY (Thomastown) (14:28): (1799) My constituency question is for the Minister for Energy and Resources. Minister, how many residents of the Thomastown electorate have applied to the utility relief grant scheme in the past 12 months? The utility relief grant scheme is another way the Carroll Labor government is helping Victorians with cost-of-living pressures, particularly our pensioners on the age pension. The program provides residents that are eligible to apply with a reduction of up to $650 off each utility-type bill – that is, gas, electricity and water – every two years. News is travelling fast in the electorate by word of mouth, and staff in my office are working very hard to help.
