 David SOUTHWICK (Caulfield) (13:08): I was saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Katsambanis, a friend and a fellow Liberal who gave his working life to the public service on both sides of the country. Peter served the people of Monash Province in the Victorian Parliament and then went on to represent Northern Metropolitan Region and Hillarys in Western Australia. A proud son of the Greek community and a great friend of the Jewish community, Peter never forgot where he came from and worked tirelessly to strengthen ties between Australia and Greece. My thoughts are with his family – Karalee and his five children Ross, Nicolette, Andrew, Angelica and Zoe – at this difficult time. Vale, Peter Katsambanis.
