 Ella GEORGE (Lara) (13:24): I am excited to announce that works are about to begin on the Lara Six Ways intersection. This project will improve road safety, traffic flow and crossing options for pedestrians and cyclists. The upgrades will replace existing single-lane roundabouts with traffic lights, add new signalised pedestrian crossings at the intersection and pedestrian crossings on Flinders Avenue and Kees Road, remove the right-hand turn from Kees Road onto Patullos Road, remove the right-hand turn from Flinders Avenue onto Station Lake Road and the right-hand turn from Station Lake Road onto Flinders Avenue, add additional lanes at the intersection and relocate the pioneers memorial and the public toilet block. These changes will help reduce congestion and make getting around Lara much safer and smoother for everyone. As Lara continues to grow, there is one thing that is clear: this state Labor government is backing local residents and delivering the infrastructure that Lara needs.
