 Vicki WARD (Eltham – Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Natural Disaster Recovery, Minister for Equality) (19:25): To the member for Albert Park, I very much look forward to coming to visit her community and the tapestry workshop. That is an extraordinary institution that I know was integral in creating Arthur Boyd’s colossal tapestry for Parliament House in Canberra, amongst many other significant works. I very much look forward to it and thank her for the invitation.

The member for Gippsland South had a matter for the Minister for Energy and Resources and sought to take action about power outages in parts of his community. The member for Laverton had a matter for the Minister for Prevention of Family Violence and sought an update on the investment of our government concerning family violence, especially the benefits in her electorate of Laverton. I fully support the member’s comments regarding One Nation. The member for Mornington had a matter for the Minister for Environment and sought to revoke any decision that may have resulted in less funding for fisheries. The member for Narre Warren South had a matter for the Minister for Health Infrastructure and sought an update on how the upgrade to Casey Hospital will benefit his local community.

The member for Narracan’s adjournment matter was for the Premier, and he asked the Premier to visit Gippsland hospital to understand the infrastructure needs there. The member for Ringwood asked the Premier to outline his priorities. The member for Wendouree had a matter for the Minister for Health and invited the minister to visit Wendouree to visit a local pharmacy and discuss the success of Chemist Care Now, which I know many of us have experienced across our communities. The member for Prahran had a matter for the Minister for Housing and Building and sought for the minister to personally intervene to ensure that more social housing residents in inappropriate housing were moved to more appropriate housing. The member for Broadmeadows had a matter for the Minister for Public and Active Transport and asked her to come to her community and celebrate the benefits of the recent improvements to the train timetable, reducing overcrowding and improving everything for everyone she knows, including benefits for locals from Broadmeadows as well as Pascoe Vale and the local ALP branch, who will greatly benefit from these improvements. I will refer them on.
