 John LISTER (Werribee) (10:49): As members of Parliament we often get contacted by constituents by a range of means, whether or not that is doorknocking, over Facebook or by direct messages. But this morning was particularly unique, taking a constituency concern over ABC Radio 774. Thank you to Sarah for raising her concerns around traffic around the College Road precinct in Werribee, particularly College Road Kindergarten, which is a beautiful little kindergarten down there. I have to say that already this morning I have contacted our local inspector, who is looking into the enforcement that highway patrol do around our schools. This Labor government has also supported, through the TAC, funding for Wyndham City Council to work with our school principals network on improving traffic safety around places like College Road and our other busy school precincts. As someone who is a road crash rescue operator, I want to make sure that everyone is safe around our schools and kindergartens.
