 Jackson TAYLOR (Bayswater) (10:31): I want to just give my gratitude and thanks to every single person who has been involved in the redevelopment of the Tormore Reserve pavilion in Boronia. It is honestly the best place to watch footy and cricket anywhere in Knox, and I would argue anywhere in the outer eastern suburbs. To the wonderful people like Paul Noone, Matt Smyth and Greg Hannon, to everyone on the executives of Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club and Boronia Cricket Club, and especially to someone who I have a great deal of affection and love for, Wayne Preston – mate, you are an absolute legend. This project started well before my time. I was very, very pleased and really honoured to help shepherd and support the project. To now see it delivered in collaboration with the state government, with the federal government and with Knox council is an amazing outcome. They are absolutely deserving – these two wonderful clubs that do a great job supporting the local community of Boronia and the broader Knox community.
