 Jade BENHAM (Mildura) (14:30): (1720) My question today is for the Minister for Health in the other place, and it is: what plans are there for phase 3 cardiac rehabilitation programs in Mildura? I have recently been made aware that Sunraysia Community Health Services, who do an incredible job delivering community health services for Sunraysia, have recently lost the ability to deliver this program, and it has left quite a gap in the already lacking cardiac services in Sunraysia. Unfortunately, this now means there are limited affordable options for individuals transitioning from Mildura Base Public Hospital, who offer phase 2 cardiac rehab and subacute cardiac rehabilitation services, back into the community. There is already a major service gap in the delivery of accessible, ongoing cardiac rehabilitation – in fact cardiac services altogether – in Mildura, and often we are told to go to Bendigo, which is 4½ hours away. So what is the solution?
