Constituency questions

Northern Victoria Region

Wendy LOVELL

Northern Victoria Region

Wendy LOVELL (Northern Victoria) (12:56): (2452) My question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. Will the minister urgently fix the potholes on the C318, the Kyneton-Trentham Road? Kate Kendall, the Liberal candidate for the seat of Macedon, has asked me to raise this road on her behalf because both Kate and I have heard from Macedon Ranges residents about the dangerous state of the Kyneton-Trentham Road. One of the biggest issues affecting Macedon Ranges residents is the dangerous condition of the arterial roads in the area. One resident was driving between Tylden and Trentham when she hit a massive pothole that damaged the driver’s side front wheel. Thankfully, only the car was impacted and she was not injured, but it could have been far more serious for the constituent. Victorians are sick and tired of the disgraceful state of our roads after 12 years of Labor neglect. Only the Liberals will invest $5 billion to eliminate potholes and implement a proper scheme of road maintenance and repair, but Kyneton-Trentham Road cannot wait until after the election. The minister for roads must order an urgent fix now.
