Renee HEATH (Eastern Victoria) (12:49): (2445) My question is for the Minister for Transport Infrastructure. Recently I visited the Dandenong Ranges with local resident and Liberal candidate for Monbulk Clare Fitzmaurice. Paul Keen from the Cockatoo Action Group drove us around Cardinia’s top five unsealed roads, including Fern Gully Road, View Hill Road, Wright Road, Kimmicks Road and Station Avenue. These roads are unbelievable. There are plenty of houses on them, but they are still unsealed. Residents are subject to travelling on roads that would be considered unacceptable in other parts of metropolitan Melbourne. It is a highly disaster-prone area of the state. Unsealed roads compromise safety and emergency access. Locals around the Dandenongs have been left wanting after Albanese cut all this money from Australians, from the Sealing the Hills project. So my question is: will the minister commit to providing state funding to seal these top priority roads?
