Katherine COPSEY (Southern Metropolitan) (12:50): (2446) My question is to the Minister for Education. The Glenferrie Primary School community are proud of their 150-year-old public school, but it needs support to continue to provide an environment for kids to thrive in. The school community are particularly concerned about inadequate shaded outdoor space for children, playgrounds and ovals that are growing unsafe and need repair, old toilet facilities that are no longer fit for purpose and two key learning and administrative spaces that require refurbishment. The school community want funding for infrastructure upgrades at Glenferrie Primary School: renewal of ageing facilities to meet modern safety, accessibility and learning standards; investment in safe outdoor environments; and a fair and equitable approach to public school infrastructure that ensures that long-established schools are not left behind. Minister, will you answer these calls from the Glenferrie Primary School community to make sure the school remains a safe, inclusive and high-quality learning environment for all students?
