 Ros SPENCE (Kalkallo – Minister for Corrections, Minister for Victim Support, Minister for Youth Justice, Minister for Community Sport) (19:27): The member for South-West Coast raised a matter for the Minister for Health, and the action being sought is for the minister to come to Portland and meet with Portland District Health to discuss local services. The member for Wendouree had a matter for the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment. The action being sought was for the minister, and indeed all Victorians, to visit Wendouree and meet with local stakeholders who are helping to grow Ballarat’s economy. The member for Gippsland East had a matter for the Minister for Public Transport. The action being sought was for the minister to provide more support for passengers when buses replace trains. The member for Ripon raised a matter for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. The action being sought was for the minister to provide an update on state-managed road repairs. The member for Mornington had a matter for the Minister for Agriculture. The action being sought was for the minister to implement a statewide framework for responsible ownership of domestic rabbits.

The member for Albert Park had a matter for the Minister for Children, and the action being sought was for the minister to visit the new kindergarten in Port Melbourne. The member for Melbourne had a matter for the Minister for Environment. The action being sought was for the minister to address the current bird flu outbreak by banning duck and quail hunting and being a part of a national response to the outbreak. The member for Preston had a matter for the Minister for Education, and the action being sought was for the minister to undertake an implementation review in the north-eastern Melbourne region of the rollout of our important disability inclusion reforms. The member for Berwick had a matter for the Attorney-General, and the action being sought was for the Attorney-General to launch an investigation into how two Victorian police officers, James Fitzgerald and Alexander Papanastassis, ended up in a criminal investigation. And the member for Bellarine had a matter for the Minister for Creative Industries. The action being sought was for the minister to visit her and to go to the Bellarine Arts Centre in her growing community, where the arts centre is a cultural hub. I will refer all of these matters to the appropriate ministers for action.
