 Michael O’BRIEN (Malvern) (09:55): I have to acknowledge that there is a split in my family, because I follow the mighty Blues and my brother Conor is a Dees tragic, so Saturday night is going to be interesting. I should say that likewise my nephew Thomas and my niece Charlotte are committed Dees. Post politics I do hope to be able to counsel them back to the light, but I might have to convince their father first. So while I will be attending the My Room ball on Saturday night, raising money for children’s cancer research, which is a fantastic cause, the MCG is set to host an absolutely magnificent spectacle. May the best team win, and may that team be Carlton.
