Polwarth electorate
Richard RIORDAN (Polwarth) (14:35): (1736) My question this afternoon is for the newly minted Premier, and my question is: Premier, when you were Minister for Roads and Road Safety over the early 2020s, up until 2023, the electors and road users of Polwarth suffered the biggest cuts to road maintenance and road funding in recent history. In fact there was a 90 per cent cut when you were roads minister to the roads of Polwarth. Now, as Premier, can you confirm for the people of Polwarth whether you will in fact, in order to balance this budget, continue your cutting habits and slash further the road funding in the seat of Polwarth over the coming months and years if you remain in the job as Premier, or is it a fact that if a change of government occurs at the end of November with a fresh start, the people of Polwarth can in fact expect a billion dollars more a year spent on the roads?
