Tarneit electorate
Dylan WIGHT (Tarneit) (14:29): (1729) My question is to the Minister for Planning. How is our government supporting my community through our landmark planning reforms? Many constituents in Tarneit still cannot access a normal bus to and from their own homes. We know that the previous terrible decision-making by the former Liberal government has led to negative planning outcomes for my community living in Tarneit North. In 2014 the Liberal government approved a rushed precinct structure plan just before the caretaker period under the then planning minister, the member for Bulleen, that allowed local roads to be constructed around Tarneit North which cannot even fit a bus. Members of my community are now suffering from that poor planning decision-making all those years ago. This government, a Carroll Labor government, will always support appropriate planning in our outer suburbs that will allow the critical infrastructure to be built around it.
