Nathan LAMBERT (Preston) (14:34): (1735) My question is for the Minister for Consumer Affairs, and my question is: have outcomes improved for tenants challenging excessive rent increases since the establishment of Rental Dispute Resolution Victoria in June of 2025? We very much welcome the introduction of RDRV as a free and accessible dispute resolution service. We acknowledge that rent affordability remains amongst the most significant cost-of-living pressures that are facing Victorians right across the state but including in Preston and Reservoir. We are aware of course, all of us, that there was a period in 2022 and 2023 when we saw rents increasing very sharply. We are pleased that that has moderated somewhat on average, but nonetheless we do continue to be contacted by local residents in Preston and Reservoir who are feeling the pressure of high rents and rent increases. Any information that the minister can provide to us about how RDRV is supporting those residents and helping them challenge excessive rent increases would be greatly appreciated.
