Real community places like this do not just come about by chance. They are made possible by extraordinary hard work and a selfless dedication to making us all feel part of something. The Victorian Labor government also contributed a significant amount to support that centre. Kindness and an overwhelming welcome to everyone has always been at the heart of that place, and it is a place where I always feel at home. Thank you so much for allowing me to join you on this journey over the last decade. I would also like to say that places of worship and community gathering always start with a seed. And that seed was planted so long ago by Arvind and Dr Sunila Shrivastava. Community leaders without equal, their work and those who joined them on the journey is why this is a core part of our community. We lost Arvind only recently, but the legacy he and Dr Sunila have left will not be forgotten. They will always hold a very special place in my heart.
