Questions without notice and ministers statements
Suburban Rail Loop
Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:03): My question is to the Minister for the Suburban Rail Loop. Does the minister support cancelling or pausing the Suburban Rail Loop?
Jess WILSON (Kew – Leader of the Opposition) (14:03): Does the minister stand by the cost estimate of $34.5 billion for Suburban Rail Loop East?
Nick STAIKOS (Bentleigh – Minister for Housing and Building, Minister for the Suburban Rail Loop) (14:03): I thank the Leader of the Opposition for the supplementary question. Back in May the opposition unleashed the member for Hawthorn at the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee. He asked me these questions ad infinitum, and I stand by the answers I gave at the budget estimates hearings. The Suburban Rail Loop East is on time and on budget.
