Kim O’KEEFFE (Shepparton) (14:40): (1696) My question is to the Minister for Transport Infrastructure, and the information I seek is: when will the lights at Shepparton’s Wyndham Street and MacIntosh Street intersection be activated? The traffic lights were part of the stage 3 Shepparton line upgrade that was completed in December 2025 and are aligned with the crossing and signalling at that intersection. We were advised that the lights would be activated following the completion of these works. The lights have been sitting inactive and covered up for over five years since installation. This is a very busy intersection on a major road and is causing driver confusion and safety concerns. It is also a very dangerous road for pedestrians, and the pedestrian crossing is also part of the activation. This is a matter of community safety, and I look forward to the minister’s response.
