 Danny O’BRIEN (Gippsland South) (14:16): My question is to the Premier. Last night the Premier claimed her government’s action on corruption on the Big Build is working. In that case, can the Premier guarantee that the company Women in Construction is not operating on a single Big Build site in this state?

 Jacinta ALLAN (Bendigo East – Premier) (14:17): For the benefit of the Leader of the National Party, I answered that question earlier. This has been referred to the Labour Hire Authority; they are investigating. They have issued a show cause notice.

Danny O’Brien: On a point of order, Speaker, on the question of relevance, this question went specifically to whether Women in Construction was operating on the Big Build – not whether it had a licence, whether it was operating on the Big Build.

The SPEAKER: I am aware of the question. I have it in front of me. The Premier has answered the question.

 Danny O’BRIEN (Gippsland South) (14:17): When will the Premier take action to remove the Women in Construction company from Big Build sites?

 Jacinta ALLAN (Bendigo East – Premier) (14:18): I remind the Leader of the National Party of the answers I have given already today and on previous occasions. We have already taken action. Some of those actions were opposed by those opposite in not supporting the work of the Labour Hire Authority. The Labour Hire Authority is undertaking its investigation, and I will not prejudice that investigation, because we want to see this rotten culture cleaned up. We have zero tolerance for allegations of criminal behaviour, and we will not stand in the way of agencies doing their work.
