 Annabelle CLEELAND (Euroa) (10:28): One of the best parts of this job is getting out and listening to my community. Through my Cleeland Cuppas, I have sat down with locals in Tatong, Devenish, Murchison and Euroa recently. Thank you to Joan for my Texas bolo and to Sandi and Jane for the bouquet of flowers. It is an absolute honour to do this job.

More than 30 people came to the Euroa catch-up, and one issue dominated the morning: recovery from January’s bushfires. People are struggling – really deeply struggling. The support has been woeful, and for some the response from Emergency Management Victoria has been more traumatic than the disaster itself. There are modular homes sitting in storage while people live in tents right now in Victoria. The Allan Labor government should hang its head in shame with this response.
