Pascoe Vale electorate
Anthony CIANFLONE (Pascoe Vale) (14:39): (1695) My constituency question is for the Minister for Veterans. How is the Victorian Labor government investing to support our veterans community across the Pascoe Vale, Coburg and Brunswick West communities? On 8 November 2025 I had the privilege to attend the Coburg RSL Remembrance Day service to officially unveil the RSL’s new accessibility ramp at Coburg, made possible by the Victorian Labor government. The new ramp will provide much-needed and smooth access for both RSL and community members, dedicated to life members Jill Doyle and the late Glen Doyle and the whole Doyle family for their contribution, including Kathy Doyle. The ramp pays tribute to their decades of service to the Coburg RSL and community. I thank all who attended that moving service, including the Minister for Veterans, Minister Suleyman; federal Assistant Minister for Defence Peter Khalil; Sheena Watt MLC from Northern Metro in the other place; Kelvin Thomson, former federal member of Parliament; Coburg RSL president Michael Pianta; and 150-plus other locals. More recently, on 4 June, I had the pleasure to welcome long-time and hardworking members of the Pascoe Vale–Coburg Women’s Auxiliary to Parliament House for an afternoon tea, including Margaret Lang, Lois Congram, Cheryl Congram, Patricia Walden, Lillian Porter, Teresa Leech, Justine Mannix and Susan Congram.
