Will FOWLES (Ringwood) (14:38): (1844) I look forward to the Preston graziers association contribution in the upcoming election. My question is to the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. What support is available to businesses at the Heathmont shops affected by the Canterbury Road roadworks? Local traders at the Heathmont shops have raised concerns about lost trade, parking difficulties and reduced customer access during the Canterbury Road roadworks. Changes to the scope and the timing of the project have also made it difficult for businesses to plan ahead and give their customers reliable information. My community welcomes necessary investment in our roads – of course we do – but local traders should not be left to carry the cost of that disruption alone. They need clear timelines, they need genuine consultation and they need ultimately practical assistance to keep customers coming through their doors. I look forward to the answer from the minister.
