Motions by leave
Gabrielle DE VIETRI (Richmond) (09:40): I move, by leave:
That this house notes that 191.5 tonnes of nitrocellulose was sent to the United States, predominantly via Yarraville port, in Melbourne since 2023, enough for over 20,000 mortar shells which have been used to arm Israel’s genocide in Palestine and calls on the government to end the two-way arms trade with Israel.
Leave refused.
David SOUTHWICK (Caulfield) (09:41): I move, by leave:
That this house condemns the vigil honouring martyrs on the anniversary of the 7 October Hamas terrorist attack, which murdered 1200 people, and calls on the government to do something.
Leave refused.
