San Remo Primary School
Jordan CRUGNALE (Bass) (19:14): (1154) My adjournment matter is for the Deputy Premier as the Minister for Education, and the action I seek is for the Deputy Premier to come to visit San Remo Primary School and see the incredible spirit of the school community and the exciting journey ahead, thanks to this year’s state budget’s $5.3 million investment.
This investment is a testament to the strength, passion and persistence of our local community. Thank you to principal Karen Bowker, to the school council, to every parent, teacher, student and community member who raised their voice and to the year 5s and 6s for penning so many extraordinary and rather direct letters addressed to our Premier. Your continued advocacy made this possible.

Here is a snapshot of some of the student voices. From Mikey:
Our school is starting to turn into an avocado – good on the outside, yucky inside.
From Ariana:
We do not want our school to be left behind.
Indy says:
I love my school, but it is in desperate need of an upgrade.
Holly and Bella say:
You promised $5.3 million. Our school deserves it.
And from Zilly and Emily:
We want our buildings to match how great our school is.
Dustin and Otis said:
We want our preps to year 4s to have modern learning spaces.
And Summer and Isabel went on to say:
Our school is growing and so our learning environment and resources need to as well.
The students and the entire school community are worth it.
