Agriculture and Food Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2024
Creates new offences relating to the sale, delivery or provision of raw milk, reduces regulatory requirements on local councils associated with registered food premises inspections, allows PrimeSafe to share information more efficiently in certain circumstances, and introduces new criteria to determine who can assess licence applications under the Seafood Safety Act 2003.
Building Legislation Amendment and Other Matters Bill 2024
Gives municipal and other relevant building surveyors powers to issue building notices and building orders to ensure building work is compliant and that buildings and places of public entertainment are safe, requires registered architects to annually renew their registration and for approved partnerships and companies to annually renew their approvals, and provides that limitation periods for bringing building or plumbing actions under the Building Act 1993 are subject to provisions in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1998.
Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Amendment (Pill Testing) Bill 2024
Provides for the introduction of a trial for drug-checking services, and allows the placement of naloxone dispensing machines for the treatment of opioid overdose.
Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Amendment Bill 2024
Amend the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2010 to clarify that the holder of a petroleum production licence is authorised to carry out underground petroleum storage operations.
Protecting Public Assets and Services Bill 2024
Protects certain public assets and services from privatisation, provides for the termination of agreements entered into and leases granted for the purposes of the Public Housing Renewal Program Package 1 Project and the Ground Lease Model 2 Project and for other purposes.
Transport Infrastructure and Planning Legislation Amendment Bill 2024
Expands the scope of infrastructure that can be delivered through projects declared under the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009 to support the delivery of precincts around major transport projects, enables the Premier to declare developments or proposed developments of State or regional significance to Victoria to be precinct projects, and amends project delivery powers under the Act to provide for time savings, reduce costs and mitigate legal risks for projects delivered under the Act.
