Gambling Legislation Amendment (Pre-commitment and Carded Play) Bill 2024
Establishes a legislative and regulatory framework for mandatory carded play and pre-commitment on electronic gaming machines in Victoria, and introduces new spin rate limits for new electronic gaming machines.
Justice Legislation Amendment (Anti-vilification and Social Cohesion) Bill 2024
Repeals the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001 and moves serious vilification offences to the Crimes Act 1958 and civil anti-vilification protections to the Equal Opportunity Act 2010, expands anti-vilification protections, introduces new serious criminal vilification offences, and makes a number of related changes, including expanding anti-vilification protections to protect disability, gender identity, sex, sex characteristics, sexual orientation, and personal association with a person with a protected attribute.
Retirement Villages Amendment Bill 2024
Terrorism (Community Protection) and Control of Weapons Amendment Bill 2024
Expands the eligibility criteria for Victorians who at risk of radicalising toward violent extremism to participate in the Voluntary Case Management scheme, and makes changes to the powers of Victoria Police to detect and deter unlawful weapons possession, carriage and use.
