Constituency questions
Nepean electorate
Sam GROTH (Nepean) (12:47): (1130) This morning on the steps of Parliament, in front of thousands of volunteer and career firefighters, farmers and everyday Victorians, we on this side of the house made the commitment that a future Liberal government will repeal this government’s emergency services tax. This is a tax from a Labor government that hits every single family, every single resident, every single business, every single commercial property and every single farmer in Nepean and right across this state. Labor cannot manage money, and it is Victorians that continue to pay the price. My question for the Premier is: will the Premier now match this side of the house – the Liberals and Nationals commitment – by repealing this big new tax that will hit every constituent in Nepean?
