Natalie SULEYMAN (St Albans – Minister for Veterans, Minister for Small Business and Employment, Minister for Youth) (19:31): The member for Gippsland South raised a matter for the attention of the Minister for Emergency Services, and the action the member seeks is for the minister to provide funding for the Mirboo North and Foster CFAs. The member for Laverton raised a matter for the attention of the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, and the action the member seeks is for the minister to visit Bemin Secondary College in Truganina and talk about the fantastic announcements of funding for the local school community. The member for South-West Coast raised a matter for the Premier, and the action the member seeks is for the Premier to travel to the member’s electorate to discuss matters affecting the farmers in that electorate. The member for Bass raised a matter for the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, and the action the member seeks is for the minister to visit San Remo Primary School and meet with the students and the school community. The member for Kew raised a matter for the Premier, and the action the member seeks is for the Premier to ban machetes in the state.

The member for Prahran raised a matter for the Treasurer in the other place and requested an update on the state budget for her electorate. The member for Mordialloc raised a matter for the Minister for Public and Active Transport and requested an update on the free transport for kids policy. The member for Narracan raised a matter for the Minister for Health and requested an update on West Gippsland Hospital. The member for Preston raised a matter for the Minister for Environment seeking that he visit the Northern Pipe Trail in Preston to see firsthand the tree planting program across the electorate. The member for Lara raised a matter for the Minister for Regional Development, and the action the member seeks is for the minister to visit Anakie Community House to meet with the Anakie ‍& District Community Group and see firsthand the great work that they are doing in their project for the community garden. I think that covers everybody. I will refer the matters raised to the relevant ministers.
