Vermont Primary School
John MULLAHY (Glen Waverley) (14:42): Since its establishment as Delaney’s Road Common School in 1869, Vermont Primary School has proudly served our community with distinction, consistently delivering outstanding outcomes for students. As a proud public school, Vermont Primary School was one of the top-ranked schools in the 2024 NAPLAN results, placing it amongst the top-performing schools not only here in Victoria but across Australia. This stellar reputation continues to attract families to the Vermont area eager to enrol their children in such an exceptional institution. With a long and proud history, some of Vermont Primary School’s buildings are now ageing. Over the past three years I have worked closely with the passionate Vermont Primary School community. We garnered the support of more than 800 locals calling for a master plan to upgrade the school’s facilities, and I am so thrilled that we have secured funding for the master plan in this year’s budget. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to principal Jess Mann, vice-principal Joy Cook and all of the school council, led by president Lisa Portell, for their tireless advocacy and commitment to the school’s future.
