 Pauline RICHARDS (Cranbourne) (19:23): (1858) My adjournment matter is for the Premier, and the action I seek is an update on what the government is doing to support Victoria’s multicultural communities to ensure that all Victorians, regardless of their cultural, ethnic or religious background, feel safe, respected and supported. Victorians in our multicultural communities are concerned about critical issues such as health care and safety but also criticism around racism and discrimination. These concerns are particularly important at a time when people are looking to government for reassurance that their communities will be protected from racism and discrimination while also having fair access to essential services and support. I therefore seek an update from the Premier on the government’s current actions and priorities to support multicultural communities.
