 Cindy McLEISH (Eildon) (10:24): In Healesville U3A has just clocked up 20 years, and they had a celebratory bash at the Memo last week along with the launch of their commemorative book A History in Photos. With learning, friendship, creativity and community at its core, it is a welcoming place for all. With 17 courses initially, their offering is now at 56: music, cards, Friday at 5 – whatever you want. Local talent Karen Roberts wrote a song for the occasion, 20 Years and Going Strong. Fifty-one people have done a stint on the committee over that time, and at each turn the organisation thrived. Congratulations to Ethne Pfeiffer and the committee for their great work.
