 Ella GEORGE (Lara) (10:41): Congratulations to Geelong Venom, who have won the Townsville Tip Off preseason tournament for the WNBL. Across the weekend they played two terrific games against Canberra and Bendigo, taking out the title. It is the first title of the club’s history, and it is only their third year in the league. Venoms new point guard Maddy Rocci took out the Tiana Mangakahia trophy for MVP. Congratulations, Venom, you have made us so proud. Good luck for the season ahead.
