Sarah CONNOLLY (Laverton) (14:28): (1769) My question is for the Deputy Premier as Minister for Education. There are the 100 new schools that we have built, with 21 built in Wyndham alone – Dohertys Creek P–9 College, Garrang Wilam Primary School, Bemin Secondary College and Warreen Primary School. Then there are the schools we have upgraded: Sunshine College, Sunshine Primary School, Albion Primary School, Ardeer South Primary School, Ardeer Primary School, Sunshine Heights Primary School, Dinjerra Primary School, Western English Language School and Sunshine Harvester Primary School. Then there are the non-government schools we have supported: St Paul’s Primary School in Sunshine West, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Primary School and Al-Taqwa College, which is where I was just last week. Then there are our specialist schools, all upgraded and modernised as part of our commitment to expanding specialist education: Rosamond School, done; Western Autistic School, done; Jennings Street School, done; Sunshine Special Developmental School, done. Only Labor invests in our schools and our kids. We build schools and the Liberals close them. How much has the Carroll Labor government invested into building, upgrading and modernising schools in my electorate?
